Corktown’s hottest amenity: the Distillery District

One of our favourite parts of Corktown Mews is its proximity to the Distillery District. Known as the best and largest collection of restored industrial Victorian architecture in the GTA, this neighbourhood has transformed into a bustling complex of entertainment, restaurants and daily public life.

You’ll see the Gooderham and Worts Distillery here, which was the largest distillery in the British Empire. In the 1800s they produced millions of gallons of whiskey and spirits and ceased operation in 1990. Today, the brick-lined streets embrace pedestrians while boasting one of the city’s largest hubs for arts and culture.
